Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PA, or NP with patient care and clerical duties across clinical workflows. You will prepare examination rooms, manage patient flow, document vital signs and allergies in the EHR, and assist in scheduling and referrals.

Ideal candidates will have a Medical Assistant program credential, a high school diploma, and English proficiency; Polish bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Bilingual in Polish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination room and escorts patient.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Schedules appointments and updates patient information in EHR.
• Documents vitals, allergies, and medications in EHR.
• Provides referrals and coordinates care in PMS and EHR.
• Adheres to universal safety precautions when administering medications.
• Assists in transition of care to UCC/Hospital.
• Provides scribing services.
• All other duties as assigned.
