Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant front/back-office experience or clinical customer service.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages patient flow, access and scheduling for clinicians.
• Manages clinicians' daily schedule to expedite care and maximize clinical time.
• Coordinates the practice when clinicians are unavailable.
• Sorts and reviews clinician mail; manages MyHealth messages.
• Monitors practice issues; advocates for patients and resolves concerns.
• Assists in resolving patient concerns and informs supervisor of issues.
• Handles patient and third-party requests for documentation.
• Completes forms for visits and reviews patient records for missing information.
• May serve as float across departments; supports EMR upgrades.
• Participates in care improvement activities and team initiatives.
• Trains and orients new staff and participates in onboarding.
