Job summary

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in an internal medicine setting at 330 Baker Ave, Concord, MA. This full-time role involves assisting with routine clinical procedures, preparing patients, and updating the EMR to ensure accurate, up-to-date records.

You will greet patients, document vitals, coordinate pre-visit testing, and help manage medications and waived point-of-care tests.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency certificate or MA certification
• Associate degree in medical assisting or MA certification
• ACLS may be required based on specialty
• BLS required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
• 1+ year experience in clinical or customer service setting
• Knowledge of reagent stability and storage
• EMR experience and ability to master EMR
• Computer skills with word processing and spreadsheets

Responsibilities

• Provides efficient flow of patients to optimize appointment availability
• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms
• Prepare patient for examination; measures vital signs
• Assist clinicians with routine procedures and tests
• Updates EMR with medical information and demographics
• Keeps patients informed of visit status and delays
• Reconcile medications and manage refills
• Assist with minor patient concerns and complaints
• Orders and performs waived point-of-care tests
