Atrius Health in Norfolk, MA is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide expanded and advanced clinical support for one or more clinicians in an internal medicine setting. You will help manage patient flow, assist with scheduling, and ensure timely communication within the care team.

Required: high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months in a clinical setting; preferred certifications include Medical Assistant Certification and BLS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6+ months of experience working in a clinical setting.
• Medical Assistant Certification (preferred).
• American Heart Association BLS (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting (preferred).
• 1+ years as a Medical Assistant (preferred).
• Experience with EPIC EMR software.

Responsabilités

• Manages patient flow, access and scheduling for clinicians to optimize appointment availability.
• Manages clinicians' daily schedule to expedite care and maximize clinical time.
• Coordinates the practice when clinicians are unavailable and ensures necessary information is conveyed.
• Screens and routes clinician mail and MyHealth messages.
• Identifies and resolves patient satisfaction and operational issues.
• Supports care improvement activities (RIEs, VSAs, MDIs).
• Trains and/orients new staff.
• May float among departments as needed.
