We are seeking a Medical Assistant to provide expanded clinical support, improve patient flow, and ensure compliance with procedures across one or more clinicians and departments.

The role emphasizes coordinating with care teams, managing communications, and supporting rapid improvement initiatives while upholding patient-centered care principles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6+ months of experience working in a clinical setting is required.
• Preferred: Medical Assistant Certification; American Heart Association BLS; 3+ years in a clinical setting; 1+ year as Medical Assistant; EPIC EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages patient flow, access and scheduling for clinicians to optimize appointment availability.
• Manages clinicians’ daily schedule to expedite care and maximize clinical time.
• Coordinates the practice when clinicians are unavailable and ensures calls are answered with necessary information.
• Handles patient questions and streams MyHealth messages; verifies prior authorizations.
• Participates in care improvement activities and training of new staff.
