Job summary

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Medical Assistant in Norfolk, MA to support clinicians and manage patient flow in a busy internal medicine setting.

This full-time role requires a High School diploma (or GED), 6+ months of clinical experience, and EPIC EMR experience. Medical Assistant Certification and BLS are preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and a collaborative, value-based care environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of experience in a clinical setting required.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
• 3+ years of clinical experience preferred.
• 1+ years as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience working with EPIC EMR software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient flow and scheduling to optimize appointment availability.
• Support clinicians with daily schedules and patient care.
• Coordinate with departments when clinicians are unavailable.
• Handle patient inquiries and MyHealth messages.
• Assist with documentation and prior authorizations.
• Provide onboarding and training support for new staff.
