Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support clinic operations in Daleville, IN. Under supervision, you will room patients, handle front/back office tasks, manage messages, and assist providers with patient care while documenting in Cerner.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or MA program completion, and relevant certifications. We offer a supportive team, daytime hours Monday to Friday, and benefits including retirement contributions and tuition

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; MA program preferred.
• Current medical assisting certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC) required.
• Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA is preferred.
• Experience documenting patient care in Cerner or similar EMR.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and support providers during visits.
• Manage patient messages, paperwork, and prior authorizations.
• Assist with clinical and administrative duties.
• Room patients and complete intake procedures.
• Assist providers with patient care activities.
• Document in Cerner and maintain EMR files.
• Support phlebotomy and point-of-care testing.
• Handle scanning and maintenance of medical records.
• Prepare exam rooms and support clinic workflow.
