Indiana University Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our busy clinic in Bloomington. Under supervision, you will perform direct patient care, basic triage, phlebotomy, injections, and point-of-care testing, while helping ensure smooth patient flow and accurate medical orders.

Responsibilities include registering patients, scheduling, maintaining EMR files, and following organization standards. Required certifications include BLS, MA program completion, and CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC

Qualifications

• AHA Basic Life Support certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent and MA program completion required.
• Current CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC certification preferred/required as applicable.
• Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care under supervision.
• Complete phlebotomy, injections, and medication administration.
• Conduct basic patient triage and point-of-care testing.
• Register patients and schedule visits; maintain EMR.
• Ensure procedures and treatments are completed accurately and timely.
