Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support patient care under provider direction. You will interview patients, measure vitals, prepare exam rooms, and document records to ensure accurate patient information and seamless visits.

Responsibilities include assisting with orders and procedures, coordinating tests and referrals, and helping with discharge and patient education. A minimum of 3 years MA experience is preferred, with potential for credentialed advancement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MA program or demonstrated MA II competency with minimum 3 years of relevant MA experience in a medical practice.
• Preferred credentials from ARMA/AMT/CCMA/AAMA/NCMA/NCCT.
• Salary range shown in the ad: $21.95 – $25.22 – $29.82.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and equipment; provide patient education materials as needed.
• Gather patient data and vitals; enter information into CIS/Centricity.
• Implement provider orders and coordinate testing, prescriptions, and prior authorizations.
• Assist providers with procedures; chaperone and manage room setup/cleanup.
• Schedule referrals and follow-up appointments; ensure smooth patient discharge.
