Qualifications

• Proficient in Clinical Information Systems (CIS) and Centricity for entering patient information.
• Knowledge of patient intake, history collection, and documentation processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and patient for examinations or procedures; ensure equipment is available and patient education materials are provided.
• Conduct patient intake and record clinical information including vitals; utilize CIS/Centricity for data entry.
• Implement provider's orders including refills, authorizations, and testing coordination.
• Assist providers during procedures; maintain room setup and post-exam cleanup.
• Perform procedures independently as approved (e.g., EKG, screenings, point of care testing) and assist with immunizations per policy.
• Accurately document all patient and provider information in records and ensure timely completion.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and referrals; provide patient education materials.
• Coordinate patient hand-offs with care teams and escalate issues as needed.
• Process referrals and prior authorizations; coordinate surgical and procedure scheduling.
• Possibly float or cross-train to other practices based on organizational needs.
