Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient-centered care, support examinations, and ensure smooth patient flow. You will interview patients, measure vitals, assist during procedures, prepare rooms, and help with documentation and referrals under provider direction.

Qualifications

• Minimally required experience: Graduate of an accredited MA program OR demonstrated competencies of MA II with minimum 3 years’ current relevant medical assistant experience in a medical practice setting.
• Preferred certifications may include ARMA, AMT, CCMA, AAMA, NCMA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient preparation and room setup for exams and procedures.
• Take and record vital signs and patient information.
• Assist provider with procedures and tests; prepare and process specimens.
• Document patient information accurately and ensure proper follow-up communication and referrals.
