Job summary

CleanSlate Centers, Inc. in Bethlehem, PA is hiring a Medical Assistant II to support medical providers and the care team. You will assist with clinical and administrative tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience and contribute to quality care and patient safety.

The role requires 1+ year MA/phlebotomy experience, completion of a MA or related program, and willingness to train on injections. Familiarity with EMRs and MS Office is preferred. Monday–Friday schedule with benefits available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EMT, or LPN program.
• 1+ year experience as a Medical Assistant and in phlebotomy.
• Willingness to train on injections if not already proficient.
• Experience in behavioral health, billing, or healthcare settings is a plus.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Proficient in EMRs and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by gathering medical history and vitals
• Perform phlebotomy, urine drug screenings, and CLIA-waived testing
• Administer injections per provider direction and training
• Assist with prescription management and medication counts
• Support outreach efforts: appointment reminders, re-engagement, and patient follow-up
• Manage lab and PPE supplies, maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
• Collaborate with front desk and lab teams to support daily workflow
• Uphold safety standards, patient confidentiality, and infection control protocols
