Job summary

CleanSlate Centers, Inc. in Wareham, MA is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support care teams, assist clinicians, and manage administrative tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience.

The role emphasizes phlebotomy, injections, lab testing, and EMR documentation, with a Monday–Friday day shift. We offer generous PTO, holidays, benefits, and a 401(k) with company match to support your growth in addiction treatment services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EMT, or LPN program.
• 1+ year experience as a Medical Assistant and in phlebotomy.
• Willingness to train on injections if not proficient.
• Experience in behavioral health, billing, or healthcare settings is a plus.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Proficient in EMRs and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by gathering medical history and vitals.
• Perform phlebotomy, urine drug screenings, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Administer injections per provider direction and training.
• Assist with prescription management and medication counts.
• Support outreach efforts: appointment reminders, re-engagement, and patient follow-up.
• Manage lab and PPE supplies, maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with front desk and lab teams to support daily workflow.
• Uphold safety standards, patient confidentiality, and infection control protocols.
