Job summary

CleanSlate Centers is hiring a Medical Assistant II in Bethlehem to support care teams, perform phlebotomy, and assist with clinical and administrative tasks for a seamless patient experience.

Role emphasizes patient safety, documentation in EMR, and collaboration with front desk and lab teams. Requires MA/Phlebotomy training, BLS, and at least 1 year in healthcare settings.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EMT, or LPN program.
  • 1+ year experience as a Medical Assistant and in phlebotomy.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Proficient in EMRs and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in behavioral health, billing, or healthcare settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for exams by gathering medical history and vitals.
  • Perform phlebotomy, urine drug screenings, and CLIA-waived testing.
  • Administer injections per provider direction and training.
  • Assist with prescription management and medication counts.
  • Support outreach efforts: appointment reminders, re-engagement, and patient follow-up.
  • Manage lab and PPE supplies, maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
  • Collaborate with front desk and lab teams to support daily workflow.
  • Uphold safety standards, patient confidentiality, and infection control protocols.
