Qualifications

• High school diploma required; completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• Current certification from AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA/AMT or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and record vital signs.
• Assist physicians and staff; prepare exam rooms and collect specimens.
• Handle clerical duties: registration, scheduling, and medical records.
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care tests per policy.
• Document medical information in EMR and manage referrals and discharge paperwork.
• Cross-train as receptionist when needed.
