Indiana University Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support direct patient care in the Surgery Outpatient Offices in Indianapolis. The role involves preparing procedure rooms, assisting with in-office procedures, and ensuring smooth patient flow with accurate charting and scheduling for both in-person and virtual visits.

Under supervision, you will maintain EMR files, perform routine lab work, and communicate procedures and needs to patients, while ensuring compliance with organizational

Qualifications

• AHA BLS certification required. Other life support certifications may be required per unit.
• High school diploma or equivalent; MA program graduation required for new hires after Oct 5, 2025.
• Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA and ADA required.

Responsabilités

• Room patients and prepare procedure rooms for provider visits.
• Set up and assist with in-office procedures and treatments.
• Break down, clean, and restock procedure rooms after visits.
• Prepare charts and documentation for virtual appointments.
• Review patient records, test results, and provider schedules for visit readiness.
• Monitor and support clinic compliance with Joint Commission standards.
• Pull, review, and track departmental quality metrics and performance measures.
