Indiana University Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Indianapolis-area Primary Care setting. The role supports direct patient care, pre-visit tasks, and efficient clinic operations in a high-volume practice.

You will work under supervision to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation in the EMR. Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent) and graduation from a Medical Assistant program, plus BLS certification and knowledge of ICD-10/CPT coding.

Qualifications

• AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required.
• OSHA, CLIA, and ADA knowledge.
• TB validated or validation within 6 months of hire.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Understanding of standard lab procedures and patient data entry.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs.
• Perform point-of-care testing.
• Manage patient phone calls and provider message pools.
• Support direct patient care and clinic operations.
• Work collaboratively with providers and care team members.
