UNC Health is seeking a Medical Assistant I/II to provide routine clinical and administrative support in an outpatient clinic in Lenoir, NC. The role works under clinical supervision of providers and under the supervisor for non-clinical duties.

The position offers a 36-hour week schedule with a $17.66–$25.39 hourly wage and potential sign-on incentives. Relevant certifications and a strong patient-centered approach are preferred for success in this team-based environment.

Formación

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team-based patient care experience.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR).
• Knowledge of medical assisting duties and clinic workflows.
• Ability to collect vitals and perform routine patient care tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Rooming patients and collecting data including vitals.
• Reviewing patient history, medications and allergies.
• Assisting providers during exams and procedures.
• Performing phlebotomy and basic specimen handling.
• Administering medications under supervision.
• Assisting with tests such as EKGs and eye exams.
