UNC Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant II, Certified for our outpatient clinic in Raleigh, NC. The role provides routine clinical and administrative support under supervision, with duties ranging from rooming patients to assisting providers and handling phlebotomy.

Eligible candidates must have at least one year of MA experience and hold MA certification from a recognized body; CPR/BLS is required. A $7,500 commitment incentive is offered, paid across three years.

Formación

• One year of full-time experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified.
• Ability to document required information into an electronic medical record.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for positive patient engagement.
• Eligibility for Medical Assistant certification from AAMA/AMT/NCMA/NCMA as applicable.

Responsabilidades

• Room patients and collect vital signs, height and weight.
• Gather medical and social history from patients and families.
• Review medications and allergies; confirm preferred pharmacy.
• Assist providers during exams and procedures as directed.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens as needed.
• Administer medications under supervision and manage routine tests.
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked and ready for visits.
• Provide post-visit instructions and educational materials.
