Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant for General/Vascular Surgery to support patient care across multiple clinics. The role includes vital signs, injections, venipuncture, EKGs, and clerical support under supervision.

Competitive wages start at $18.41/hour for non-certified MAs and $19.43/hour for certified MAs, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires. Full-time schedule, typical day from 7:30am to 5:00pm with no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with six months experience as MA or Patient Care Tech.
• Completion of MA/EMT/Nurse Assistant/LPN/armed services medic or patient care technician program.
• BLS within 6 months for Rural Health Designation clinics.
• Float positions require travel between clinics.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks and assist in examinations and procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies; assist with clerical duties.
• Collect patient history, document interventions, and vital signs.
• Administer EKGs, injections, blood draws, and prepare prescriptions as directed.
• Assist with gynecologic exams and routine office procedures.
