Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking Medical Assistants to perform a variety of clinical tasks, including vital signs, injections, venipuncture, room preparation and assisting providers in patient care. This full-time role also involves clerical duties, EMR documentation, and preparing patients and equipment for visits.

Schedule: 8a–5p; daily 80 hours per pay period. Wages start at $17.69/hour for non-certified staff and $18.41/hour for certified staff, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months' medical assisting or patient care tech experience.
• Alternative programs include medical assistant, EMT, nurse assistant, LPN, medic, or patient care technician.
• BLS certification required within 6 months for Rural Health clinics.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and document in patient charts.
• Assist with injections, venipuncture and minor procedures as directed.
• Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies for visits.
• Document interventions and patient responses in the EMR.
• Support providers with patient history and setup for visits.
