Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians by performing a variety of procedures, taking vital signs, drawing blood, administering injections, and assisting in exams.

Hours are 8:00am–5:00pm with full-time schedule; eligible new hires may receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Prior MA experience or CMA/RMA certification is preferred and EMR skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent and 6 months MA or patient care tech experience.
• Completion of one of the listed programs: MA, EMT, CNA, LPN, medic, or patient care tech.
• BLS certification within 6 months for Rural Health clinics.
• Float positions require travel between clinics.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs promptly and professionally.
• Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies.
• Collect patient history and prepare for visits.
• Document interventions and vitals in charts or EMR.
• Administer EKGs, PFTs, immunizations and venipuncture as directed.
• Assist with gynecologic exams and routine procedures.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Completion of MA/EMT/CNA/LPN/AMT program
