Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant for Convenient Care Clinics. The role provides patient care, assists providers, and supports clerical duties to keep operations efficient. Starting wages vary by certification status with a sign-on bonus for eligible hires.

Qualified candidates may have CMA or RMA credentials and BLS certification; prior EMR experience is a plus. Full-time schedule, 8:00am-5:00pm, with on-call as indicated.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months experience as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Tech.
• Completion of CMA or RMA programs is preferred.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire for Rural Health Designation clinics.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by performing or assisting in procedures and tests.
• Collect patient history and vital signs; prepare patient and equipment for visits.
• Document all interventions, medications, and vital signs in patient chart or EHR.
• Administer injections, draw blood, and perform EKGs, PFTs, immunizations as directed.
• Assist with routine gynecological exams and office visits; maintain clean, stocked rooms.

Education

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
