Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support a clinical team under the direction of an LPN, RN, or provider. You will perform administrative, clinical, and clerical tasks, including patient history and scheduling, while delivering exceptional patient service.

This role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and accurate documentation in EMR systems. Day shift, onsite in Tamaqua, with standard outpatient duties and patient interaction.

Qualifikationen

• Specialized Diploma as Medical Assistant required.
• Ability to adapt to change within healthcare.
• Proactive, self-driven with teamwork.
• Strong computer skills including EMR, word processing, and Excel.
• BLS from American Heart Association - PA required within 30 days.

Aufgaben

• Prepares patient and equipment for exams/procedures and maintains exam rooms and clinical area.
• Performs medical history collection and medication refills per protocol.
• Collects and prepares lab specimens and schedules referrals or procedures.
• Identifies patient risks and communicates to nurse or provider.
• Adheres to clerical, clinical, and EMR workflows.
• Performs front office duties including greeting patients and handling communications.
• Collects co-pays, schedules appointments, updates demographics, and referrals.
• Delivers patient-centered care as part of the care team.
