Job summary

Texoma Care in Bonham, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under physician supervision. You will interview patients, take vital signs, perform venipuncture, and document in the EMR. You will also prepare examination rooms and assist at the front desk as needed.

The role requires a High School diploma, BLS/CPR certification, and MA experience or completion. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, with a professional, courteous patient-facing approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or one year of MA experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out per clinic protocol.
• General medical office procedures experience.
• Understand end-of-day cash balancing and charge reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Must be courteous and professional in all interactions.
• Experience with office equipment (fax, copier, telephone) and basic testing (EKG).

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of patient care duties under physician direction.
• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Venipuncture and related procedures as directed by the physician.
• Document in Electronic Medical Records per IPM guidelines.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Assist in covering the front desk as required.
