Job summary

Texoma Care, affiliated with Universal Health Services, seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a clinic setting. You will assist physicians, take vital signs, perform venipuncture, and document in EMR under physician guidance.

Responsibilities include room preparation and front desk support, ensuring courteous patient interactions and adherence to clinic protocols. Certification and Medical Assistant training are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Medical Assistant Certificate or 1 year of MA experience.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology required.
  • Experience with patient check-in and check-out.
  • General medical office procedures.
  • End-of-day cash balancing and charge reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in basic computer programs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Must be courteous and professional in all interactions.
  • Proficiency with office equipment (fax, copier, phone).
  • EKG and other patient care testing knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in examination and treatment of patients under physician direction.
  • Interview patients and measure vital signs.
  • Perform venipuncture as directed.
  • Document in Electronic Medical Records per IPM guidelines.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
  • Assist in covering the front desk as needed.
