Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in the United States. The Medical Assistant collaborates with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and guest experience, acting as both receptionist and clinical support to the provider. Minimum of 1 year of MA experience in primary care is preferred.

Graduation from an MA program and state certification/registration where required are strongly preferred. CPR/BLS is required at start date.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room and ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Reviews prior medical information and gathers updated health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepares and administers medications and immunizations per written order from the Provider.
• Partners with care team to develop patient-specific plan of care and address gaps.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out, documentation.
• Processes test results and informs patients via e-message, mail or phone.
• Participates in outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible groups.
• Maintains clinical and office supplies and equipment for treatments.
