Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Pensacola, FL. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience, balancing clinical duties with front-desk responsibilities.

The role requires at least 1 year of MA experience, completion of an MA program, and CPR/BLS certification; phlebotomy experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required in states where certification/registration is mandatory.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to exam rooms and ensures rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, draw blood, assist with procedures, and work with contracted labs for tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Perform front desk duties: scheduling, medical record requests, referrals, and coordinating care outside the clinic.
• Maintain accurate data in the medical record and communicate results to patients.
