Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in a primary care setting. The Medical Assistant collaborates closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and a superb guest experience, serving as both a Medical Receptionist and providing clinical support within the care team.

The role requires at least 1 year of MA experience, completion of an MA program, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is preferred/required depending on state.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review medical information and gather updated health information for the provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Collaborate with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
• Handle front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Document data in the medical record according to guidelines; handle test results and communications.
• Engage in outreach to patients to improve engagement among eligible groups.
• Maintain clinic supplies and equipment for treatments.
