Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience to our patients.

Because of our unique model, our Medical Assistants oversee the full spectrum of the patient experience—acting both as a Medical Receptionist and assuming clinical responsibilities. Minimum 1 year MA experience, graduation from a formal MA program, CPR/BLS certification, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• MA certification or registration strongly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review and update patient health information for the provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered by the Provider.
• Coordinate care with the team to address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Record data accurately in the medical record.
• Process test results and communicate timely results to patients.
• Participate in outreach to drive engagement among eligible patient groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
