Job summary

Midway Specialty Care Center is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our infectious diseases clinic. The role blends back-office clinical tasks with front-office patient services to ensure smooth clinic operations and a positive patient experience.

The ideal candidate will be clinically proficient, detail-oriented, and adaptable, able to transition between clinical and administrative duties while supporting patients, providers, and the clinic team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• Medical Assistant certification or registration preferred.
• Prior Medical Assistant experience in a clinic preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs, and infection prevention.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and prepare them for examinations, document vital signs and histories.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection following protocols.
• Assist providers with examinations and point-of-care testing.
• Manage front-office tasks: check-in/check-out, registrations, and scheduling.
• Maintain EMR documentation accurately and securely.
• Support infectious disease and specialty care services with confidentiality.
