Job summary

CommuniCare is seeking a Medical Assistant to support both front and back office operations in a clinical setting. The role includes injections, non-invasive patient care, EKGs, and patient communications.

Responsibilities include taking medical histories, vitals, auditing readiness, inventory management, and accurate insurance processing. Travel to other clinic sites may be required; scheduling may vary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year as Medical Assistant and/or MA Diploma/Certification.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day front and back office operations to ensure timely patient flow.
• Administer injections and assist with basic patient care procedures (EKG, screenings).
• Collect medical history and vital signs; support audits and regulatory compliance.
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment calibration and cleaning.
• Register patients, verify insurance, and post encounter data to funding plans.
• Perform end-of-day reconciliation and secure cash deposits.
• Pre-register patients and screen for program eligibility for next-day clinics.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support other departments as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
