Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an MA training program is required.
• 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Certification CMA/CCMA/RMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares treatment rooms and escorts patients to the examining room and maintains cleanliness and stock in exam rooms.
• Under physician order, performs injections, phlebotomy and basic CLIA-waived lab tests; may travel to off-site locations for testing.
• Performs front office duties including reception, scheduling, and insurance forms; manages telephone messages and referrals.
• Organizes insurance authorizations for therapies and referrals and supports case management for employees.
• Maintains accurate patient records and charts in accordance with policies and procedures.
