Job summary

HonorHealth's Fountain Hills Primary Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide front and back office support, escort patients to exam rooms, and maintain clean, stocked spaces.

Under a provider’s direction, perform exams-support duties, take vitals, and assist with procedures while handling calls, referrals, and documentation. Requires MA training or CMA preferred, BLS, and fingerprint clearance; 6 months experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an MA training program or equivalent.
• 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card required or eligible within seven days of employment.
• CMA/CCMA/RMA preferred; HonorHealth reimburses exam cost if certification earned.

Responsibilities

• Provides general front and back office support to professional staff.
• Escorts patients to exam rooms and maintains clean, stocked exam rooms.
• Performs basic procedures under provider supervision and handles phone scheduling and referrals.
• Maintains patient information and medical records; organizes insurance forms and charting.
• Communicates with pharmacies and coordinates authorizations and referrals.
