Job summary

HonorHealth in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant to support front and back office operations in the Employee Health department. Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, assisting clinicians, scheduling, phlebotomy, injections, and coordinating with insurance for authorizations.

Completion of an MA training program and a high school diploma are required. Ideal candidates have a BLS certification, a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card, and the ability to travel to off-site locations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an MA training program required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares treatment rooms for examination and escorts patient to exam room.
• Assists physician/clinician during exams and procedures.
• Performs front-office duties: reception, scheduling, and data entry.
• May travel to off-site locations for diagnostic testing and exam components.
• Administers injections and TB testing under physician supervision.
• Organizes insurance authorizations and referrals; communicates with case management.
