Job summary

HonorHealth’s Primary Care-Fountain Hills clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant for day-shift coverage. The MA will support front and back office tasks, escort patients, maintain exam rooms, and ensure accurate patient records and scheduling.

Essential duties include preparing rooms, taking vital signs, performing injections and phlebotomy, and assisting clinicians with procedures. A High School diploma and MA training are required; a BLS and clearance card are also required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a MA training program is required.
• Six months of MA experience preferred.
• BLS certification is required.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• MA certification (CMA/CCMA/RMA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares treatment rooms and escorts patients to exam rooms.
• Maintains clean, neat, and stocked exam rooms and handles scheduling.
• Provides front desk support including reception and insurance forms.
• Performs venipuncture and CLIA waived lab tests as directed.
• Administers injections and TB testing as ordered by a physician.
• Communicates with insurance and referrals to ensure authorizations.
