Job summary

HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for the Primary Care-Desert Mountain clinic. The role supports front and back office tasks, patient flow, and basic clinical duties, with a day shift and a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Ideal candidates have MA training, HS diploma, BLS, and up to 6 months MA experience; certification and fingerprint clearance are preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a MA training program.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares treatment rooms for examination, escorts patient, takes vital signs.
• May travel to off-site locations to perform diagnostic testing and assist in exams.
• May administer injections and TB testing under physician orders.
• Performs venipuncture and basic lab tests; handles front-office duties like reception and scheduling.
• Organizes insurance authorizations for therapies, testing and referrals.
• Maintains patient records and ensures accurate charting and paperwork.
