Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Deer Valley Gastro Clinic in Phoenix. The MA provides front and back office support, escorts patients, maintains rooms, and ensures accurate charts and patient data. The role supports providers with exams, procedures, and basic testing in a team-based environment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, completion of an MA training program, and BLS. 6 months of MA experience preferred; Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an MA training program required.
• 6 months Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• FingerPrint Clearance Card required.
• CMA/CCMA/RMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam rooms and assists the physician/clinician during exams.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and manage front/back office duties.
• Schedule appointments and maintain patient records and insurance forms.
• Perform venipuncture, basic lab tests and injections as directed.
• Handle telephone inquiries and relay messages to providers.
• Coordinate authorizations and referrals as needed.
