Summit Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs or NPs with clinical duties, patient flow, and documentation in the EHR. The role requires high school diploma and completion of MA or phlebotomy program, with 0–4 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, greeting patients, updating medication lists and allergies, scheduling appointments, and assisting with referrals. Travel to satellite offices may be required; $22.02–$27.07 per hour.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program.
• 0–1 year related work experience required; 2–4 years preferred.
• BLS certification or within 30 days of hire.
• English communication skills required (oral and written).
• Must be organized and able to multitask efficiently.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare the examination room and escort patient into the room.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and ensure room readiness.
• Document in the EHR and update medication lists and allergies.
• Assist with patient care and procedures under supervision.
• Schedule appointments and manage referrals in PMS/EHR.
• Provide scribing services as needed.
• Handle calls, take messages, and communicate with supervisors.
• Stock and order supplies; ensure safety and cleaning of exam rooms.
• Assist transition of care to UCC/Hospital.

Formação académica

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program, required.

0-1 year related work experience, required.

2-4 years related work experience, preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire, required.

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.

Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.

Basic proficiency in computer use, required.

Travel: Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed, required.
