Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient care. You'll greet patients, collect histories, assist with exams, testing, and specimen collection, and help coordinate care.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with MA program/externship or EMT/paramedic or athletic trainer credentials; 0–1 year clinical experience preferred. Day-shift, full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus MA program/externship or internship.
• EMT or Paramedic program and/or Certified Athletic Trainer credentials.
• MA credentialing is preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
