Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• MA programs and externships, internships, EMT, Paramedic, or Certified Athletic Trainer credentials are required or preferred.
• MA-Non-Credentialed I: MA certification desired, or EMT with active Michigan license, or Paramedic with National Registry or Michigan license. CPR certification required.
• Minimum experience: 0-1 year clinical experience or equivalent; if no MA program, 2+ years clinical support experience.
• Valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
