Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering excellent patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help coordinate care to ensure a positive healthcare experience.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED with MA programs/externships, EMT or Paramedic training, or a licensed/credentialed pathway. Day shift, full-time in Michigan with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• MA programs or externships supported; EMT or Paramedic qualifications acceptable.
• MA recertification CEUs required if credentialed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and act as liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
