Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient-centered care. You will interact with patients, assist with exams, testing, and specimen collection, and help coordinate care to ensure a positive healthcare experience.

The role requires completing an accredited MA program or related credentialing, with 0–1 year of clinical experience or 2+ years if no MA program. Day shift, full-time opportunity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited MA program or equivalent externship/internship.
• Current MA recertification CEUs if credentialed.
• MA certification (CMA/CCMA/NCMA etc.) preferred.
• 0–1 year clinical experience; or 2+ years if no MA program completed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and liaise between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
