Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant for a full-time, day-shift role. You will support providers, collect histories, and assist with exams, testing, and procedures to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role includes patient education, care coordination, and participation in quality improvement initiatives. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an MA program or related credential, with CPR and Michigan

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; completion of accredited MA program or related credential.
• MA eligible for certification or current active EMT/Paramedic license in Michigan.
• Valid CPR certification and Michigan licensure where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.

Education

High School Diploma or GED; MA program and MA Externship; MA Internship; EMT program; Paramedic program; or Certified Athletic Trainer

MA Non-Credentialed I: eligible for MA certification or EMT with active Michigan license; Paramedic with NR or Michigan license; CPR
