Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient-centered care. You will welcome patients, collect histories and vitals, assist with exams and procedures, run tests, and help coordinate care for a positive experience.

This full-time, day-shift role offers competitive pay and benefits. Ideal candidates have 0–1 year of clinical experience or 2+ years in a community clinic, MA program/externship, EMT/Paramedic

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited/approved MA program and externship/internship, EMT, Paramedic, or Certified Athletic Trainer credentials.
• MA non-credentialed option with eligibility or EMT/Paramedic with Michigan licensure is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
