Job summary

Concentra, Inc is seeking a Medical Assistant in El Segundo, CA to join our patient care team. You will perform routine medical procedures, assist clinicians, and handle front and back office duties to deliver a seamless patient experience.

The role requires completion of an accredited medical assistant program or at least six months of direct patient care, plus strong customer service and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, or at least 6 months of direct patient care experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures; occupational medicine knowledge is a plus.
• Certifications like Drug Screen Collection or Breath Alcohol are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for exams, record vital signs, and arrange ancillary tests.
• Assist clinicians during examinations and treatments.
• Handle front/back office tasks, including check-in/out and record documentation.
• Maintain supplies, clean rooms, operate medical devices, and ensure patient flow.
• Adhere to HIPAA and safety guidelines; participate in monthly training.
