Job summary

Concentra, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our patient care team in Lanham, MD. The role involves front and back office duties, patient prep, vital signs, and supporting clinicians in a fast-paced occupational health setting.

You will perform DOT and non-DOT testing, assist with examinations, manage specimens, and ensure accurate documentation while delivering an excellent patient experience. Training and HIPAA compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent experience.
• Six months medical assistant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations including vital signs and any required tests.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examinations and treatments.
• Maintain and operate medical devices and equipment and ensure proper documentation.
