Job summary

TexomaCare in Denison, Texas is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a family medicine and specialty care team. You will interview patients, take vital signs, perform venipuncture, and assist physicians with examinations under supervision.

Responsibilities include documenting in the EMR, preparing exam rooms, and occasionally covering front desk tasks. Excellent communication and customer service are required, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Medical Assistant certificate or 1 year MA experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process.
• General medical office procedures.
• End of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation process.
• Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Must be able to perform courteously and professionally in all interactions.
• Office equipment such as fax machine, copier and telephone system.
• EKG machine, other patient care testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment of patients under physician supervision.
• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Perform venipuncture and procedures as directed.
• Document in Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
• Help cover the front desk as required.
