Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Shrewsbury, MA is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support providers in a clinic setting. Under supervision, you will perform clinical tasks and clerical duties to assist the healthcare team.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, POCT, injections as directed, and reviewing lab results. A High School diploma, BLS, and MA credential are required within stated timelines; a $3000 sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS or Heart Saver certification from the American Heart Association; must obtain within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to examination rooms and records vital signs.
• Performs EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care tests.
• May prepare and administer non-intravenous injections within scope.
• Assists with routine physical exams and reviews lab results.
