Job summary

Allina Health Hastings is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and nursing staff in delivering timely patient care. Responsibilities include rooming patients, managing patient flow, administering injections, and coordinating labs and imaging results.

The role requires completion of a MA program or equivalent, with or without limited MA experience, and offers a $2,000 starting bonus for eligible external talent. 64 hours per two-week pay period with 32 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with competencies as listed in job description
• Completed Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare program with clinical training
• If fewer than 6 months MA experience, completed at least 160 hours of clinical externship or practicum

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, manages patient flow and collects essential medical information
• Collects and confirms patient data via interview, questionnaires and vital signs; documents in EMR
• Assists patients for physician exams, including providing psycho-emotional support
• Performs injections and assists with procedures; coordinates test results with providers
• Maintains safety and cleanliness of exam, medication and supply areas; supports front desk/back-office as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
